Kebun Alam Seni - A Design Vision & An Open Proposal.
A Placemaking Where Art, Nature and Community Meet
15 May 2026. This is an independent creative work proposing an art and placemaking destination concept. A personal vision for a community art market and creative park designed for ordinary artists, art lovers and local creative vendors. A welcoming space for galleries, workshops, art books, art supplies, exhibitions, classes and creative exchange within nature inspired gardens and public art.
Not a luxury space for the elite, but a place where art can grow, be shared and supported by everyone. A small dream for something meaningful, practical and possible.
More than a development proposal, this concept is an artistic vision where nature, art, architecture and community come together as one experience. Every feature and visual was originally designed by Ng Kok Hong to create a place with meaning, character and soul.
Designed with a practical approach, the concept focuses on strong creativity and visual identity using simple, low cost materials rather than expensive construction.
This idea is now open for public sharing, discussion and future possibilities. For those who believe in creating meaningful spaces, collaboration and further discussion are welcome. WhatsApp if this vision speaks to you.

Art Feature 2 - The Sail Canopy
Layar Seni. The nature of breezes and the form of traditional sails are expressed through tall tent like canopy structures designed to appear majestic, elegant and powerful. The feature creates a striking vertical presence while casting changing patterns of light, shade and shadow across the space.
Art Feature 3 - Pasu Rimba
Inspired by the beauty of pot forms and the vertical nature of tree trunks, this art feature combines vessels and bamboo into a simple sculptural composition of shape, texture and shadow.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse is conceived as a modest gathering space where artists can come together under one roof to share experiences and ideas. It also serves as a small office. The architecture embraces simplicity and practicality, allowing for easy and cost-effective construction while retaining a strong and admirable design presence.
The clubhouse features a simple tropical design with zinc sheet roofing and bamboo strip screens. Built with practical and economical materials, the design remains visually distinctive through its natural textures, layered façade, and artistic detailing.
Pond Feature 1 - Bakau
The dense arrangement of trunks is formed from rusty iron cut-outs, filling the pond space to evoke the atmosphere and layered outlook of a mangrove jungle.
Pond Feature 2 - Lampu Bubu
The pond lighting is designed with traditional bubu (fish traps) placed among pandan plants, Pandanus amaryllifolius, combined with natural rocks and simple fish cut-out artworks to create a subtle and artistic waterscape inspired by simple local life.
